A different perspective of Cloud Computing from Larry Ellison

This video offers a different perspective on Cloud Computing. I agree with Larry that the Cloud is a bunch of networked computers which offer services or applications to the users (which is not new). However, I think the way businesses will use the Cloud in the future is what makes it new and different. The ability for businesses to leverage economies of scale and use IT resources and talent from the Cloud, I believe will allow companies to focus on their core competencies and save costs by not having to support a large IT budget and infrastructure. So watch the video and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Check out my other blog!!

I have started a new blog with a focus on philosophy and cloud computing. I will maintain this blog for topics that are infrastructure related to the cloud. My new blog is intended to look at the philosophical impacts of cloud computing on our lives and the world.
